Sarah – I really liked the pide, what was it like with some wholewheat in, i didn’t think to try that although most bread i bake has some wholemeal in. might give it a go next time. The kneading technique is really easy. so much easier than bashing stuff about and its great with sticky doughs. Works with any dough as far as I can tell.

George – I’ve never visited Turkey but if the pide is an example of their food I’ve clearly missed out. I’ll take a look at Lahmacun and give it a go too. Bread is the only thing I really like to bake.

Your whole meal looks very tasty! I made a whole wheat version of the the pide and I really liked it. We ate ours with dips, too, and had no problem finishing it off the next day. Thanks for posting.
