The Ample Cook: foraging is such fun and it was eye opening to learn about things beyond blackberries and sloes!

Mangocheeks: Why not contact Food Safari to see if they know of anyone near you – or better still set up your own in the West of Scotland – I bet there's loads of great produce to be had round you.

Karen: um I think thats my bad photo angle – I sat round that side and there was no difficulty getting in (or out of) the chairs – but I see what you mean!

Jacky: I already got some elderflowers on Sunday – I was determined to – am steeping them in vodka! There were surprisingly few on the coast where we were staying though (air too salty?).

Dan: OMG you've never had samphire. You live near the sea how can that be. I believe there will be lots you could forage at Mersea and Maldon or easier get to the fishmongers in a couple of weeks. Its divine stuff. Don't miss out this season ;)
